Ueno Park is a large public park located next Ueno Station that is famous for it’s cherry blossoms. During cherry blossom season (April) many Japanese families come to the park to enjoy the outdoors, eat food and drink large amount of alcohol.
The park was home to a fierce battle between forces loyal to the Shonganate and those wishing to overthrow the government. A statue of Seigo Takamori who was one of Japan’s most famous samurai still stands watch over the park.
The park was largely destroyed after the battle and thus was one of the first Western style parks to be built in Japan. Ueno park is home to many museums and shines and it a popular visiting spot for anyone looking for a bit of peace and quiet away from the noise of Tokyo.

I really really would love to go to Japan! I would like to see the Sakura trees, walk the streets of Okinawa, and eat ramen! This park also seems lovely!

I just want to say that I really would love to visit Japan ever since though I had been there so many times but I missed the place! I must also begin to see the Sakura trees, walk the streets of Okinawa, and eat ramen! This park also seems lovely!

I was always amazed by the Japan’s parks. They have some kind of power and spirit that other places don’t have. This one looks also amazing.
